It was a pleasure to attend the Munich Hi-End show. It was in particular important for me to see some friends, customers, manufacturers and other people from the industry. Spent a good amount of time with Roger Adamek of RCM Audio, walking around, and taking pictures. Roger is a very technical person. He approaches photography as an art and a science, same as his approach to building his high quality Bonasus amplifier and Sensor phono stage.
My dear friends Peter, and Jolanda of DaVinci Audio were as always enthusiastic and welcoming.. Everyone knows how stunningly good these high quality products are. I saw DaVinci Audio inUnison turntable in another room as well. Great sound. Can not wait for my blue inUnison.
AMAZON Audio room had on display Hartmut Janssen’s latest creations: First Choice turntable, and AMAZON Audio Speakers. Both great products that will soon be present at SORAsound showrooms.
Hans Henrik Moerch presented his tonearms and (finally) his latest reference creation. Moerch reference tone-arm just was selected as Absolute Sound’s 2010 Golden Ear Award.
Munich is a good city (pictures to be posted soon by my web lady), nice walks, great culture and friendly people. Many speak good English. As a city, it is a lot more interesting for me than Vegas. So, I was a lot more eager to go to the Munich Hi-End show than The CES.
In all honesty, the Munich Meridien Hotel was the least impressive Meridien Hotel I have ever stayed at, even though they had kindly upgraded me to an Executive room, and the service was about as good as all other Meridien Hotels I know of in other countries and America. The location is also pretty boring. So if you are heading to the Munich show next year, I neither recommend the hotel (unless you get a much better rate than I did) nor the area.
Had a very good meal at Tantris, known to be the best restaurant in Munich, and one of the best restaurants in Germany.
There were two events: hifideluxe at the Meridien Hotel, and Munich High-End show at the MOC, Munich. I am a pretty quick decision maker. I go to a Read more…

My good friend Hartmut Janssen of AMAZON Audio is introducing his new speakers at the Munich Hi-End show. These speakers are a gem and sound great. Did I say they look stunning too? Same elegance as in AMAZON Audio turntables. SORAsound will be the first distributor to receive a pair. Please check out the details of AMAZON AMT One speakers.

SORAsound will be attending the Munich Hi-End Show from May 5 to 8. Aside from spending a good amount of time at the AMAZON Audio / Moerch Tonearms room as well as with DaVinci Audio, I will be renewing vows with as many friends as possible!
My dear friend Hartmut Janssen of Amazon Audio will be showing off his latest masterpieces: First Choice turntable, and a beautiful pair of speakers he has been working on for the last many years. Hans Henrik Moerch, the ever perfectionist he is, will be demonstrating his reference tonearm, Finally!
The great folks of DaVinci Audio will be exhibiting their mouth watering products, un-paralleled in performance and build quality, as you would expect from such a high caliber Swiss manufacturer.
Couple of European friends are kindly driving to Munich to meet me. I look forward to visiting with as many of my friends and audiophiles abroad as possible. Frankly, it is even easier to meet my Audiophile American friends abroad than in America as I do not normally attend the CES (never had the Vegas itch). If you are there and available, please let me know. Maybe we can grab a good beer or at least shake hands and talk a few minutes. You can always catch me via phone, text, email, and of course a call to my hotel (Le Meridien Hotel) where the annex part of the show is taking place.
Expect some exciting NEWS after I return.

We are delighted to be hosting Julia Janssen, the beautiful and intelligent daughter of our good friend, Harmut Janssen of Amazon Audio at our home for a week. Julia will be returning to Chicago this summer for a few weeks, learning the American way of living, practicing English, and of course teaching SORA how to dance and do gymnastics.
Our manufacturers, and some others we work with have become our close friends. In fact, I do not distribute a line unless I think the manufacturer and his family are people I would like to make part of our family and closest inner circle.
Some of our customers have also become our good friends, visiting us every now and then. In all honesty, this has been the best part of SORAsound. Sharing the joy of music, and above all forming new friendships.

a quick visit to frankfurt to meet my good friend hartmut janssen of amazon audio. it is always a pleasure to see hartmut. he is vivacious, full of ideas, and funny. passionate about audio, his creations, and above all his friendships.
those who know me, know that i take pride in my friendship with the manufacturers i represent. as such if i can not have them as friends, i do not want their products either. i want to be able to look at their products, and think of good memories. in case of hartmut janssen, i love him and his AMAZON REFERENZ turntable so much that keep a couple of them in stock ready to ship. pure elegance, great sound from a great friend.
