in the TGV now going to berne to visit with my good friends, jolanda and peter of davinci audio labs. i am impressed with swiss telecom. very good speed (both the network and the train). but in all honesty i should be enjoying the view of swiss countryside rather than checking emails. this trip has been good so far. i have met some very capable manufacturers. i am not sure what will come out of it but it has been a learning experience that i have enjoyed very much. i am also happy that everyone takes SORAsound opinion’s and business model seriously.
greetings from geneva, switzerland where i went to school over 30 years ago. a few meetings here and then a bit more. i keep you posted.
antalya visit has been very good thanks to my brother and his family. many thanks go to mehmet, my audiophile friend who recommended very good local restaurants and a great hammam. i had written a few days ago i would post more about antalya, after i absorb it (seeing my brother after all these years). well, i have not been able to absorb much yet. suffice it to say, that it was one of the most worthwhile trips i have ever taken in my life. amazing how our love continues to grow despite the distance and not seeing each other all these years.
last night in antalya: iranian disco night on a boat, shattering any (negative) pre-conceived notions of iranian social life.
today i flew to istanbul and then antalya, turkey. saw my brother after 30 years. met his wife, his 17 year old son, and 21 year old daughter for the first time. things we take for granted in our lives….and the blessings we can not count.
as soon as i absorb it all (or even partially), i write more.
